Do you find yourself putting on a brave face but feeling very different on the inside? Perhaps you’re empty and numb, or overwhelmed by emotions? Are you finding it hard to cope day-to-day? I know how tough life can be at times and how lonely it feels when no one seems to understand. If you’re wondering when you’ll feel happy or hopeful again, or you’re worrying about the future and fearing the worst, or maybe you’re struggling with a big change and a sense of who you are; I’d like to help.
Being able to talk freely to someone, without fear of judgement or shame, can be a huge relief.
I support individual adults who are affected by low self esteem, anxiety, depression, or relationship issues, often those who have experienced a bereavement, a major life event, or child sexual abuse. Our work together can help ease your pain, and support you to feel calmer, to cope more easily, and to feel better about yourself.
I will have no expectations of you, no agenda. I simply invite you to join me in a compassionate conversation, where you will do most of the talking and I will listen with care, to understand what’s going on for you. I will encourage you to safely explore and reflect on your thoughts and feelings, gently uncover any unhelpful patterns, and consider alternative perspectives.
We will go at your pace and, whatever comes up, we'll try and make sense of it together.

I work online using Zoom or in person from my therapy room in the centre of Exeter.
Sessions last one hour and are weekly on the same day and time each week.
I offer short-term or long-term work,
depending on your needs.
Sessions are £50.
Payable in advance by bank transfer,
or in person at the start of each session by card or cash.
If you need to cancel, please provide 24 hours notice, otherwise you may still be charged.
I appreciate it can feel a bit daunting. That's why I offer a free initial call or meeting, giving us a chance to get to know each other a little before you commit to anything. It’s important you choose a counsellor you feel comfortable with.
